My two cousins who happen to be some of my favorite angling buddies are in town from the front range of the rockies for the holiday’s, and it just so happens that the weather has held up quite nice for some good steelhead opportunities in southern Wisconsin while they’re back in town. Last week we all hit the water with their dad in hopes of finding some of the giant trout that migrate into the Lake Michigan tributaries. The morning started slow, but after changing locations we found a few fish for everyone to tangle with. Although it’s almost the new year, it still feels like Thanksgiving. This warmer than normal winter weather is putting off those dog days of winter for now. I think until we see the rivers icing up they will be fishing quite well.
