More Spring Smallmouth Action

Another Smallmouth from my local haunt.  Possibly the same one from  the picture below.  This time my daughter had a front row seat! 

With a short period of time to spare today I stopped at a favorite spot of mine close to home with my family and landed a nice largemouth and a really nice smallmouth.  This place is not just a favorite of mine because it’s close to home and has a lake with great largemouth fishing and a creek with equally great smallmouth fishing, but it’s where I grew up fishing and hunting with my dad, brother, cousins, grandpa, great uncles, and everyone else my family would invite to enjoy this piece of land that was tailor made for hunting and fishing.  Those memories have molded the person I am today, and I’m proud to have grown to appreciate the outdoors the way my elders have, and even prouder that I’m giving my kids the same memories in the same place.
