Justin just sent me these photos and I wanted to share them. The kings are in thick in Northern California and there are quite a few 1-2 year steelhead to be had. Starting in December the big chromers start showing up along the Pacific Northwest coast. Justin has been having much success with an old school salmon fly called the “comet”. You can find many variations of this fly online, but I included the photo of the simple yet effective pattern Justin has been tying.
