Metolius River

Justin recently took a trip up to the Metolius River in Oregon where him and his angling buddies tossed some large streamers at some of the meanest trout that swim… bull trout.   Bull trout are often seen chasing down rainbows and cutties that thrash helplessly at the end of anglers lines.  These huge trout are native to western United States and Canada, but due to interbreeding with non-native species and loss of habitat their populations have suffered in many places.   Here are a few pics from Justin of a couple bullies he picked up and a very nice lahontan cutthroat caught at different location that will remain unknown.

Tom Waits – Fishing With John

This is good stuff.  Tom Waits is far more than an amazing musician.  He’s an artist who’s whole life seems like one big work of art.  Always creating no matter where or what he’s doing.  My guess is that he doesn’t fish much.  Anyone who knows what a snappers teeth look like would never put one in their pants!
